The pearls represent the air bubbles that fish expel when breathing underwater.
On the orange oyster you can see the water flows that they generate in their movement.
On the tail, a blue topaz represents what is called “a blind eye,” which serves as a distraction for the fish when attacked by piranhas, so that they bite its tail instead of its head.
